I’m loving these fashion drawings from Floyd Grey — especially the last one in this image series (which has a tiny bit of color, but I just couldn’t pass it up). The aggressive line work and dynamics in all of these is killer. See more of Floyd’s work here.
CommentsA pretty little project using the human face as a canvas for typographic characters. Some say it should be titled “Typeface” and not “Fontface”. But since a font (a group of related glyphs in the same style and weight, which make up a character set) is technically a subset of typeface (a family of different character sets designed with a unity of style), one could argue that the original title is fitting. Either way, the result is a playful homage to four different designers and their typographic legacies. (Although, I’m not so sure about the choice of Carousel as one of the four typefaces, er, fonts. It’s certainly intriguing, but seems a bit minor-league in light of the other three, no?) The following posters are available for purchase in the Atipo shop. Be sure to scroll to the bottom of this post and check out the fun making-of video, too.
CommentsThe German company Braun has long been known for their thoughtfully-designed consumer products. The company enjoyed a particularly influential period under the watch of Dieter Rams, a visionary whose design principles have strongly influenced product design at companies like Apple, among others. These sleek and straightforward timepieces are no exception to Braun’s legacy of authentic functionalism. See more, order, and pre-order at Braun Time.
